1952 August, Motor Trend

The second owner of the 1948 Kurtis-Omohundro Comet was Jim Neidy of Detroit, Michigan. Jim ultimately sold the car to Sam Cornell who also owned the 1947 Kurtis-Omohundro Comet bringing both cars together.  In 1959, Jim sold both cars and their were split apart until 2009 when both cars were reunited under the ownership of Geoff Hacker.  The posting below is the last known vintage publication showing the 1948 Kurtis-Omohundro Comet.  In the 1970s, encyclopedias would begin to identify both cars in their listings.
