Special-Bodied Corvairs Built On Corvair Chassis

Each of the cars below was built on a Corvair chassis. This means that the body was removed (cut) off the chassis at the floor level and additional structure added as new body was built on chassis to give the newly bodied car strength. From the list below, approximately 10 special-bodied Corvairs were built using the Corvair chassis and drivetrain.

Sam Tafoya’s 1970s custom GT from Detroit

Two complete Corvair customs built, I believe, in Milwaukee. They were shown in the Collectible Automobile letters section and were very nicely done. I can’t find the clipping offhand and the whereabouts of the cars are unknown.
