Description
Very attractive styling for a hand-crafted one-off from California. Designed and built by a sports car enthusiast in the late 1950s in Sacramento, California, this Crosley based special was kept by its original builder/owner throughout his life and was sold after his passing. The wheelbase is small – approximately 80 inches in length. The track is approximately 46 inches wide. The crosley engineis untested but appears rebuilt or new. The transmission is from an MG sports car.

Condition: Although the majority of the work has been completed, this sports car was never fully finished. Dash, gauges, wiring and other issues that can be seen need to be completed which gives the new owner of this sports car an opportunity to complete it to their liking. This could be finished as a sports car or race car. This car would make an excellent vintage small-bore race car.
Concours Embraced: American handcrafted specials have been welcomed across the country, and in recent years this has expanded to rallys, special exhibitions and more. What drives interest in these cars is the unique design and history of the build – in every case a story that is a “one of one.” Since 2007, major concours such as Amelia and Pebble Beach have held classes of these cars on several occasions, and both the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance have featured classes of these cars in 2023 and 2024.
