Phase 6: Interior
Interiors are critical to get “just right.” American specials were simple, honest sports cars with clean and spartan interiors.
Tasks
- Recover old or purchase new seats
- Carpet
- Door panels and kick panels – usually in vinyl
- Door handles – usually inside only
- Rear view mirror on dash or glass
- Mounting of hood release
- Trunk carpeted, vinyl, or other?
Phase 6 Outcome
The right look and feel is created and installed with no two cars exactly alike.
