Steve Miller’s 1960 LaDawri Sebring Featured in Reincarnation Magazine – October, 2019

Hi Gang…

Great news!  The folks at Reincarnation Magazine did a superb job and featured some great photos and an excellent article on Steve Miller’s 1960 LaDawri Sebring.  The story and photos are by Joe Greeves and the finished product appears in their October, 2019 issue.  Well done!

Steve is still looking to identify who built his Sebring but a tantalizing clue remains on the window glass – a 1965 parking sticker from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. See below for image.

Now….I’m from Carbondale, Illinois and I was there in 1965.  Problem was I was 3 years old, and I wasn’t looking for low-production handbuilt cars back then.  Although….. I did have a plastic blue hot rod I would ride down the hill on Mill Street behind our house in Carbondale, Illinois.  See below….ah the memories 🙂

These were my first wheels at age 3 (1965) and I remember riding it for a few years. No wonder I like fiberglass cars!

So check out the article and photos below – Steve has a beautiful, interesting and well-built LaDawri Sebring.  You can also read the article via the Reincarnation website.  To do so, click on the link below and….you can check out other stories they have and some really cool builds.  Definitely worth checking out.  Here’s the link:

  1. Hi Steve; Great looking car. LaDawri bodies have body lines. I have 57 conquest that I started on in the late 60s. working on part time. Now that I am in Ocala I have chance to drive it daily. Would like to communicate with other LaDawri owners. If interested Geof has my information. Great car Tim

  2. Interesting, is the windshield enclosure frame. How it fits well around the door assembly. More intricate design in the picture with Steve Miller. instead of a standard 90 degree joint. I like the lines.

    • Glen….I’ve always like the lines of the LaDawri sports cars, and I’ve had a few over the years. It’s one of my favorite designs. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Geoff
